Glassborrough : Population 182.000, mostly human, some elf. The city sits on a mountainous crag, accessible by glass bridges. Two factions struggle for control of the city, a consortium of wealthy business men located in the Scibit Services Corporation building, and a noble aristocrat, the human lady Juliana.

Quel travail!
Nous sommes en pleine science fiction....
26 May 2011 7:41am
Wild one, looks to be a part of some wired spaceship.
26 May 2011 7:56am
I marvel at the symmetry of modern buildings. They look like spaceships ... works of another world ... that imagination of architects and yours look friend! Best regards, Adela

26 May 2011 8:08am
I think I sense some highly developed and restored ecosystems co-existing with the humans and elves beneath that glass cityscape, I think I'd like to visit this civilisation of the future past.

Splendide composition. Belle journée.

What a new realm of creativity you are making here . . exceptional imagination on so many levels.

26 May 2011 9:40am
The color and the intersecting lines and symmetry are perfect!

Love this city of glass, Florence. I would like to know more of this story as well! Bonne journée.

Such a powerful corporation it must be. Hopefully, Lady Juliana will win the struggle and keep them in line. This is certainly a beautiful city of glass. They are a creative group of inhabitants.
26 May 2011 3:20pm
This city has a very appropriate name, and such a pleasing blue tonality to its architecture... I hope that the opposing factions do not break any glass.

@Rick: Your com makes me think of a Bowie's song. The album Low contains a title named Breaking Glass. I guess you know it too. ;-)
"Baby, I've been
breaking glass
In your room again
Listen..."
So you see Rick, your shots often reminds me music to tell the truth. I've got music in my head almost 24H/24H. And I like it. ;-)

That's a impressive and massive glass construction Florence. I realy love the composition and how you processed it in a giant V........I think you become a famous Architect in the next life ;-)))
26 May 2011 5:56pm
lovely mirroring PP makes the shot very unusual

@CElliottUK: Thanks a lot Chris.
Florence, I love that Bowie song. I was just listening to some of his Tin Machine side project music only hours ago! Such a voice he has; a "presence"... and music is the defining force in my life, so if you are taken to music from any photo that I humbly submit, I cannot be more pleased!
26 May 2011 6:52pm
@Rick: Oh I'm so glad that you know Tin Machine (few people know that Bowie was behind). I saw them in 1989 in a very small concert room, a private gig (less than 500 people). It was... unbelievable. I saw him very often from the 80's until now. Difficult to say which is my fav album (such difference from one to another). Station to Station is pure wonder but I just adore Outside. Crazy sound. And yes, his voice is truly remarquable. How charismatic, huh ?
I love them all ! Ashes to Ashes is remarquable but Heroes is not bad... well you see I can talk about him for hours.
But we have already the Doors in common ! ;-)
What about Led Zeppelin ? Patti Smith ? U2 ? Tear For Fears ? Simple Minds ? Bono is a great singer as well, Jim Morrisson too and Patti Smith is really an incredible female singer.
Thanks Rick for your lovely comment, and regular visits here. :-)))))))))

All of the ones you listed, easily in my must-listen category. By that I mean Bowie albums and the other great artists in your reply. Yes, I could and usually DO wax eternally on music. I am a finder and proponent of little-known artists, too. It never ends! Now I am feeling like going into my movie library to watch The Man Who Fell To Earth !
26 May 2011 8:27pm
ohh..it looks like letter V. , really impressive
26 May 2011 10:50pm
I feel so ignorant here... is this a real building or is it one half mirrored? If this is a real picture, it's an incredible place and very well composed... if it's a creation of yours, it's very well done.
