fascinating capture - love the strong dynamic lines of the floor...they somehow seem to rip the people apart from each other, creating a 'split' view and feel of the image. cool :)

@BonAngle: Il s'agit d'un mémorial pour les déportés français et juifs de la seconde guerre mondiale. Il se trouve à l'extrémité de l'Ile de la Cité.

Encore ton super grand-angle ? L'effet est très réussi ici, un peu vision psyché-cauchemar, j'aime cette déformation parlante et ton traitement des noirs avec ce soupçon de couleur (pull bleu ?) qui transparaît !

@k@: Oui, encore mon grand angle, que je vais utiliser de plus en plus à Paris, je crois. Je te rejoins pour la vision cauchemar (il s'agit du mémorial juif sur l'île de la Cité, ainsi que celle d'hier d'ailleurs).

@Veronelle: C'est à ciel ouvert Véronique et malgré tout c'est un lieu très oppressant en effet. Difficile de faire dans la légèreté, vu le sujet.

Very distorted view. A very distorted perspective, in architectural word/world. :-)
The floor patterns really causes the distortion here, I wonder why the designer had two pattern running there instead one... didn't you get dizzy taking the picture, Flo? :-)

@Ti: Yes dizzy and a bit out of breath. The place is so impressive, evoking the worst. It's a memorial about French and Jews people who were send to the nazis camps.

L'effet spacial est magnifique. La scène est simple et efficace visuellement aussi. J'ai trop l'impression que je pourrais poser mon menton sur ton premier plan tel Gulliver. Une sensation de théatre miniature.

Brilliant. There's not too much more to add that hasn't already been said. I really like the way you've used space here and the naturalistic processing that really lends itself to the image. For me it's almost like a story evolving with the couple facing each other and then the lady on the left of the frame facing the other way peering up the staircase. Brilliant.
